    Psiatrist – Adult Community Mental Health

    Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Nelson Marlborough seeks an experienced Psychiatrist – Adult Community Mental Health.

    • No on-call or weekend required.

    About This Position

    The successful applicant will:

    • Deliver quality services to a population of approximately 49,000 in Blenheim.
    • Join a supportive multidisciplinary team including Medical Officers, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, and employment specialists.
    • Have the perfect opportunity to achieve amazing work/life balance and enjoy one of New Zealand's most sought-after regions with no on-call or weekend requirements.

    Requirements

    The ideal applicant will:

    • Bring their psychiatric skills and experience to an acute secondary care hospital and contribute to how healthcare is delivered in Blenheim.
    • Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent.
    • Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational registration of Psychiatry with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
    • Have experience in consult-liaison psychiatry (preferred but not essential).
    • Work with others to promote a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness, humour, and respect across disciplines.
    • Demonstrate commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
