    Role:
    Waste Sorting and Management Specialist


    Location:Levin

    **Hours;, 20 hours approx.
    with the flexibility to accommodate your schedule


    About the Role:


    We're looking for a detail-oriented and environmentally conscious individual to manage and sort waste into bulk bags at our Levin site.

    This role is crucial in helping us achieve our sustainability goals and requires a high level of organisation, communication, and dedication.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sort and organise waste materials into separate streams for diversion.
    • Accurately label and manage bulk bags for easy tracking and collection.
    • Report and coordinate with our team to ensure efficient waste management processes.
    • Drive a forklift for the movement of bulk bags around the yard (training and certification can be provided if needed).
    • Liaise with our yard manager to ensure smooth operations without hindering other activities.
    • Understand the critical impact of your role on the broader Living Pa project and sustainability goals.

    Requirements:

    • Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
    • Capability to physically sort and organise materials.
    • Forklift driving ability (or willingness to learn).
    • Access to personal transportation to and from the Levin site.
    • Commitment to sustainability and understanding of the Living Building Challenge Certification preferred.
    • Need to have a phone that is able to take photos
    • Competent Computer Skills (Data Entry, Emailing Skills, Excel)
