• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
• Work with other chefs, cooks and other food preparation workers
• Monitor and report inventory of food and supplies needed to ensure efficient operations
• Monitor sanitation practices and ensure that kitchen safety standards are followed
• Prepare, cook and serve food in accordance with menus ensuring a high level of quality and presentation is achieved at all times according to agreed standards
• Oversee the appropriate receiving and stores
• Monitoring food wastage and raw material expiry to meet agreed food cost targets
• Maintaining HACCP procedures and practices
• Foster sound relationships with frontofhouse staff and kitchen staff
• Maintain kitchen equipment and plant in good condition
• At least 2 years of experience working at a Chinese re OR
• Chinese Occupational Skills Testing Authority Certificate Level 3 in traditional
