    Job Title: Registered Mental Health Nurse

    Location: Porirua/ Wellington - Tawhirimatea Unit

    Service: Regional Rehabilitation Services

    Contract: Full time / permanent ( 1 FTE) rostered and rotating

    Salary: $75,773.00 - $106,739.00 Salary Step MECA

    The Tawhirimatea Unit is a 29-bed safe care facility rehabilitation unit for up to 29 people within Te Korowai Whariki - s Rehabilitation Service. This is a regional innovative supportive service working with tangata whaiora in supporting their journey with a multi-disciplinary team approach.

    We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team. As a member of the Tawhirimatea Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote independence, recovery, and well-being.

    You will bring your active listening skills and solution-focused approach to foster tangata whaiora in achieving their identified goals within their pathway journey. You will have the ability to take on new learning where required to support your role within the team, as well as good communication skills with your team members, tangata whaiora, and whanau.

    Requirements:

    • CURRENT NZ ANNUAL PRACTISING CERTIFICATE
    • Experience working with mental health populations
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team
    • Good communication skills with team members, tangata whaiora, and whanau
    • Active listening skills and solution-focused approach
