    About the role - Mō te tūnga:

    As a Financial Services Officer you will play a critical role in delivering timely and accurate payment services and administrative work on behalf of your customers and the Ministry staff throughout the motu.

    You'll engage with internal teams and external partners to ensure financial documentation aligns with legislation, policy, and contracts.

    Your advice and support will help stakeholders navigate procurement and payment processes confidently.

    Key responsibilities include the following:

    • Interpreting and analysing financial data in line with legislation, policy, and contracts
    • Processing and updating financial data to meet audit, reporting, and payment requirements
    • Working with MSD staff and budget managers to understand needs and provide financial solutions
    • Liaising with suppliers and contractors to manage accounts and ensure service continuity
    • Providing accurate financial advice and information to enable informed decision-making

    This Rotorua based role offers both permanent opportunities and a fixed-term option through to 30 June 2026.

    What you bring - Ōu pūmanawatanga:

    • Proven experience in payment processing and administrative work
    • Financial management system experience
    • Strong numerical and accurate data entry skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • A customer-oriented focus
    • The ability to work within a team and independently
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Skills
