About the Role


We are currently recruiting two Medical Affairs Managers (MAM) for our General Medicines and Specialty portfolios to join our team in Auckland.

In this role you will bring medical and technical expertise to the medical affairs team and other internal business partners, engage with external stakeholders, and develop and maintain extensive knowledge of relevant therapy areas and pipeline.

You will be out in field 50% of your time.

Your role will be varied and will include:

  • Develop medical strategy and tactics, to support GSKs business needs and objectives
  • Use medical and technical expertise to liaise with external experts, health care professionals and scientific researchers
  • Provide medical and technical expertise to scientific submissions
  • Develop an effective communication network and working relationships with relevant global GSK functions
  • Speak about GSK products and disease areas at GSK run educational meetings as required.

About you?


To be successful in the role, you will have a scientific, pharmaceutical, or medical degree and have experience in a similar or related role.


You'll also possess:

  • Experience in the therapeutic areas (Respiratory, Oncology, Specialty) preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great detail and accuracy in critical appraisal and interpretation of data
  • Outstanding information search ability
  • Understanding of New Zealand medical practice, MNZ code requirements, local regulatory and reimbursement environment
