Mō te Tūranga | About the role

Being a member of the Infrastructure Squad, you will be involved in looking after the day-to-day operational capabilities of ASB's LAN and WAN networks.

It is a large and complex environment with Data Centre, Campus, Branch, Cloud and Business Partner networks heavily based on Cisco architecture.

Being part of the Engineering Practice at ASB we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers.

You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued.

We are looking for a mix of technical experience and skill to support the following Technologies and activities:
Infoblox
Monitoring and Alerting
Configuration backups
Change Management

In addition, the following would be an advantage:
Experience with F5 Load Balancing

We advocate agile, fully cross functional teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day.

We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and ways in which you have shown leadership while performing your role.

We are looking for someone who:
3+ years experience with Cisco networking or similar
Qualifications CCNA CCNP or similar
Is aware of security, compliance, risk and audit
Is comfortable with Agile ways of working
Has documentation, and knowledge sharingskills
Comfortable working in a banking environment with regulatory requirements
