    Description

    Biological Husbandry Unit Organics Trust Engage whānau, rōpu and affiliated growers with the BHU Farm to grow and distribute kai for community Coordinate community harvests, workshops and wānanga Engage and coordinate kaiako for BHU course delivery for July 2024 Engage with Mana Whenua and Tangata whenua to create a programme that is designed from an Indigenous framework, with community in mind.

    Promotion of BHU courses Proliferate knowledge, skill and practice of growing organic kai through the community Liaising with the BHU delivery partner, including programme development anddelivery, programme assessment and reporting on student attendance.

    Ensuring that the BHU community events comply with Health and Safety regulations.
    Reporting quarterly to BHU trust board meetings.

    The role also involves organisational and technical support for the BHU :

    Key tasks include:

    Teaching organic kai production at Level 3 and Level 4 where appropriate Assisting with the maintenance of the intensive student garden area.

    Maintain and manage website/social media/pānui/BHU comms Assist with educational administration – student attendance sheets Collect stories and collate data for reporting Assist with office management – mail, kitchen and office resources, cash sales Your application will include the following questions: Do you have a current New Zealand driver's licence?
