    Description

    We are a well-established company that has been growing grapes, making wine, and selling both grapes and wine worldwide for twelve years.

    Right now, we're looking for the right people to join our team.
    Our business hours are Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.

    We have three permanent full-time positions available for Landscape Gardener in Marborough who are good team players and willing to take on new challenges.

    We offer a competitive wage ranging from $29.66 to $32.00 per hour.

    You can work at least 30 hours a week and a maximum of 40 hours a week including working on weekends.


    Our requirements:
    We're looking for someone who knows their stuff when it comes to gardening, plants, and making landscapes look great.

    You should also be comfortable using and looking after gardening tools and machines, paying close attention to detail, and taking the initiative to keep things in top shape.

    Plus, you need to be fit enough to handle outdoor work in all kinds of weather and terrain.
    Additionally, you'll have at least three years of relevant experience or a qualification at NZQA level 4.
    And it's important to be flexible since the job might include weekend and holiday shifts.

    Skills:


    Prepare and maintain planting areas within the vineyard, including soil preparation, planting, and ongoing care of vines, trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation.

    Assess and maintain the health of plants, including diagnosing and treating diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies as needed.
    Design and install landscape features such as paths, irrigation systems, trellises, and protective measures for plants.
    Conduct regular pruning and shaping of vines and other plants to promote healthy growth and maximize fruit production.
    Manage weed control and ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of the vineyard landscape.
    Collaborate with vineyard management and winemaking teams to integrate landscape maintenance activities with overall vineyard operations.
    Monitor and maintain equipment used for landscape maintenance, ensuring proper functioning and safety standards.
    Stay informed about new developments and best practices in horticulture, landscaping, and vineyard management.
    Occasionally assist with general vineyard tasks as needed, especially during peak seasons such as harvest.
