    Description

    With a growing diverse portfolio of quality animal products Dechra Veterinary Products is seeking an experienced and passionate Supply Chain & Logistics Team Lead.

    The position will efficiently and safely supervise supply chain functions including purchasing, supply, inventory control and product dispatch from the New Zealand warehouse.

    It will also be focused on driving the development and continuous improvement of an effective and efficient, customer driven supply chain network to support Dechra's growth agenda.

    Role Responsibility

    The Challenge
    So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate's key responsibilities will include:
    Develop and implement strategies to optimise supply chain operations as per Dechra's strategic plans
    Manage all procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation of pricing, MOQs, terms and other support as required
    Implement supply chain best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure effectiveness and delivery against set KPIs
    Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with all stakeholders including third parties to facilitate the delivery of on time products.
    Utilise the demand plan to ensure adequate stock availability to meet customer demand
    Provide leadership and guidance to the warehouse team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
    Communicate within Dechra across business units to collaboratively achieve targets
    Conduct regular supplier audits and internal stocktake
    Support company wide initiatives to improve service levels to our customers.

    Strong analytical skills and a pragmatic approach to systems, policy and procedure
    Previous experience as a people leader who can drive continuous improvement and a positive workplace culture
    A proven commitment to safety and the environment with an infectious passion for improvement
    Strong knowledge of inventory management principles including forecast management, inventory planning, demand & supply planning and order optimisation
    Demonstrated numerical literacy skills
    The ability to organise, plan and deliver a plan/schedule
    Initiative-taking and enthusiastic
    Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal

    Note:
    some ad hoc travel may be required. There is also the potential that this role will have Possible exposure to penicillin and penicillin products.
