Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Department of Nutrition is looking to appoint a Pouako/Pūkenga/Lecturer or Pouako Matua/ Pūkenga Matua/Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Dietetics to undertake the development and delivery of research-led teaching in the Master of Health Science (Nutrition & Dietetics).


  • Plan and deliver researchled teaching and supervision of students in nutrition and dietetics (postgraduate)
  • Lead, coordinate and support the supervision of public health nutrition and /or food systems placement activities of postgraduate students.
This is a fulltime (40 hours per week), Permanent Position

Remuneration:
Lecturer $91,328-$109,099 and Senior Lecturer $116,108-$145,433 per annum

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills

  • Experience in public health nutrition, community nutrition and/or food systems of 35 years
  • Demonstrated an ability to undertake research and will be expected to pursue research activities
  • Has a PhD (or equivalent) in a research area relevant to Nutrition and Dietetics
  • Is a registered NZ Dietitian or eligible for registration.
  • Ability to teach effectively.
  • Enthusiasm and drive to establish a research programme
