    What you'll be doing:

    • Preparing monthly financial accounts and year-end statutory statements with accuracy and flair

    • Leading the year-end audit process with the Finance Manager

    • Leading Capex reporting and Fixed Assets, ensuring our collection's investments are spot on

    • Owning balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining a robust Fixed Asset Register

    • Partnering with colleagues across the Museum to translate numbers into strategic insights

    • Fielding financial inquiries and taking charge of all balance sheet ledger accounts

    • Analysing performance data to empower effective business decisions

    • Supporting external and internal audit processes, showcasing our compliance strength

    • Collaborating with project managers on Capex and depreciation forecasts

    • Mentoring and backing up Assistant Accountants, sharing your expertise and fostering growth

    Desired Skills and Experience


    Ō pūmanawa | What you will bring

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA or CPA) with at least 3 years' experience in a medium to large organisation

    • Proven track record in financial accounting and statutory reporting

    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills that turn data into insights

    • Experience with TechnologyOne ERP is a plus

    • A proactive, approachable mindset and a genuine customer focus

    • Flexibility to take on new challenges and adapt to evolving priorities

    • Excellent time-management skills to meet critical deadlines

    • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels
