- Two-way texting that enables immediate connection with pet owners, automatically updating the patient record and communication log without character count limitations or extra fees.
- Pre-appointment instructions that drive both visit and diagnostic compliance, including fecal or urine sample reminders, drop-off and pickup times, and recommended blood work.
- Contribute to the design and build features as part of a team
- Learn to diagnose and resolve system glitches (bugs)
- Assist with bug escalations of critical nature
- Assist with rectifying system slowness or resource intensive code
- Contribute to the maintenance of the Vello framework, existing code structure, and the cloud environment
- Constantly monitoring the Vello cloud environment and assist in the 100% uptime goal

- 2 years' experience as a Software Engineer
- Exposure to or working knowledge of software design
- Experience working with, managing, and evolving code
- Experience with principles and practices related to cloud technologies
- Previous experience in SaaS environment
- Experience is valuable with the following technologies: Node JS, React, Typescript, SQL, AWS.
- Working knowledge of Test Driven Development. Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum.

With a robust multi year roadmap IDEXX has invested heavily to grow Vello's team here in our Auckland R&D center of excellence. We're seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer, to tackle a full range of development tasks on the Vello application, this means contributing as part of a team to build new features, fix bugs, maintain the Vello framework and existing code structures while collaborating with the wider IDEXX engineering organization to deliver quality.
