We are a busy caf in Matua (Tauranga) and we are looking for 2 Cooksfor our establishment.

Job description and duties for this position is given below
**You will be a key driver in the menu design and product development, creating new dishes and planning new seasonal night and day menus.

**Undertaking specialized cooking methods and duties, maintaining the high standard of the dishes including safety and presentation.

**Modifying recipes to meet customers requirements and preferences.

**Understand food safety standards, regulations, following the food control plan, and comply with them all the time.

**Assist with roster, staff training, team building, and ensuring quality efficient service is achieved each time.

**Assist in ordering, food cost, labor cost, estimating material cost and ensuring profit margins.


To qualify for this position, you must:
Have at least 2 years experienced or formal qualification relevant to this job will be advantage.
Be comfortable working under pressure, cooking to a consistently high standard.
Be positive, energetic and flexible.
Be able to work long hours and weekends.
Be flexible to do morning and evening shift.
Should have experience in baking as well. Little bit knowledge of Indian Cuisine will be an advantage.
Show a passion for food and respect for produce.
Experience in high quality kitchens preferred.
Commitment and excellent work ethic essential.

Remuneration
- $25 to $30 per hour according to experience.
