We are looking for a Programme Manager for Southern District (previously known as Southern DHB) to manage their Holidays Act Programme of work involving rectification of their Datacom payroll system to make it compliant with the Holidays Act and also to remediate about 6,000 current and 12,000 former employees for any underpayments for holiday pay not calculated properly.


The objectives of our project are to remediate current and past employees for Holidays Act non-compliances, make changes to HR and payroll systems, policies and processes, and to ensure the Districts' payroll remain compliant with the Holidays Act 2003.


Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

This role is required to manage a small team involved in testing all the configuration changes being made to the payroll system and the remediation calculations, liaising with internal teams to implement these changes, liaising with external vendors providing payroll services, liaising with assurance providers to complete all the assurance requirements for the project and liaising with National PMO for organising funding for the payments and making the payments to employees.

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the right to work in NZ, relevant project management experience (ideally from within NZ) showcasing your abilities to handle the requirements of this role and the aptitude to manage both internal and external relationships well, to join a project midway and to hit the ground running.
