Kristin School is a co-educational,non-denominational, independent school on Auckland's North Shore.

It provideseducation for over 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13, with dualpathways through NCEA and the International Baccalaureate programme.

Kristin is committed to enabling all children tofulfil their potential and has developedanEnrichment programme withdedicated Enrichment teachers who work as part of the year level team to ensurehigh levels of differentiation.

Enrichment teachers each have their own spacefor "pull out" sessions, and also "push-in" to support intheir year level's Homeroom classrooms.

This is a unique opportunity for anexperienced teacher who would enjoy working predominantly(but notexclusively) with small groups of students to provide both consolidation andextension.

These Enrichment sessions would usually occur in the mornings,but the ideal successful applicant would have a degree of flexibility in theirschedule towork overtime in the afternoons on occasion.

This opportunity would initially involve working with ourYear 1 students and team, but the ideal applicant would be open to possiblechanges of year level in the future.

You will be a team player who demonstrates acomprehensive knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and has expertise withdifferentiation programmes that improve student outcomes in a primary schoolenvironment.

Experience successfully supporting students who are Gifted andTalented, and/or have specific learning differences such as dyslexia would beparticularly relevant to this role, as would experience supporting students forare English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

It would be advantageous if youwere familiar with the teaching of Literacy with an explicit and structuredapproach, were able to use manipulatives such as those in Numicon to ensuredeep understanding of Math concepts, and the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).However, support will be provided to the successful applicant.
