Job Description:


Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management across numerous clinical research studies to ensure the delivery of research group objectives.


Operational activities include:

  • Provide mentoring and direction for professional staff in their teams
  • Operational coordination of all aspects of particular clinical research studies
  • Support the Principal Investigator to ensure studies are conducted to meet the requirements of protocols, scientific, ethical, and other relevant standards
  • Manage ongoing relationships with external partners
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of participating site involvement in multicentre studies, both nationally and internationally
  • Promote the work of the group by creating regular communications via webpages, newsletters, and online and inperson forums
This is a part time, (0.8FTE, 30 hours per week), 24-month fixed term role

Remuneration:
$90,000 - $101,000 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience.

Mō tō mātou rōpū | About the team

The CBR Neurogenetics Research Group is a multi-disciplinary team led by Associate Professor Richard Roxburgh who is also a consultant neurologist.

The team is made up of clinical research nurses, study doctors, research physiotherapists, study coordinators, and research assistants. They run clinical trials, natural history studies, and research studies all involving participants with rare neurogenetic disorders.


He kōrero mōu | About you

We are seeking someone with a
relevant tertiary qualification (medicine, science, nursing, public health, genetic counselling, allied health, social work, or education), willingness to achieve certification in good clinical practice (GCP), knowledge of clinical research, and who has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership role.
