The Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our HSW team, who are champions at delivering a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the Central Interceptor project.

What will you be getting involved in?

Partner and engage with our construction teams to provide health, safety and wellbeing support and keep our staff safe
Be a champion for positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the project
Completing investigations, reports, risk control and assessment documentation, permits and SWMS across sites
Execute regular safety inspections and audits onsite with the teams
Ensure site equipment is regularly maintained and kept in safe working order
Drive continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing performance
Update the Health and Safety incident reporting databases
Safeguard our people by ensuring all health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures are adhered to

You will have:

A minimum of 4 years' experience in Health & Safety or similar role in the construction infrastructure industry
Comprehensive knowledge of NZ safety legislation
Preferably experience in tunneling projects (TBM or MTBM)
Depth of knowledge in construction plant and equipment capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Competent with Microsoft suite and experience with Aconex preferably
Diploma in H&S level 6 preferred but not essential
Strong time management and organisational skills
A positive and proactive approach toward teamwork
