The Ghella Abergeldie Joint Venture is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our HSW team, who are champions at delivering a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the Central Interceptor project.

What will you be getting involved in?

  • Partner and engage with our construction teams to provide health, safety and wellbeing support and keep our staff safe
  • Be a champion for positive health, safety and wellbeing culture across the project
  • Completing investigations, reports, risk control and assessment documentation, permits and SWMS across sites
  • Execute regular safety inspections and audits onsite with the teams
  • Ensure site equipment is regularly maintained and kept in safe working order
  • Drive continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing performance
  • Update the Health and Safety incident reporting databases
  • Safeguard our people by ensuring all health, safety and wellbeing policies and procedures are adhered to

You will have:


  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in Health & Safety or similar role in the construction infrastructure industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NZ safety legislation
  • Preferably experience in tunneling projects (TBM or MTBM)
  • Depth of knowledge in construction plant and equipment capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competent with Microsoft suite and experience with Aconex preferably
  • Diploma in H&S level 6 preferred but not essential
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • A positive and proactive approach toward teamwork
