The Opportunity:


On their behalf we are seeking to attract an upbeat, enthusiastic FMCG Key Account Executive, to fill an important role that provides support to the New Zealand office,
as well sales and administration support, to the New Zealand Sales team.


The role will have you actively involved in supporting the National Accounts team to achieve their revenue, distribution, market share and display activation targets.

You will be managing promotional costs, processing customer invoices, forecasting and getting involved in the development and execution of customer plans.


The role will provide s_ignificant _exposure to the key account management function, so will suit someone who is keen to learn and add value and is genuinely interested in building a career in the FMCG industry.

Ideally you will already have cut your teeth in the FMCG industry and understand how it operates. This experience may be gained from a similar support role, or from other areas of the industry, i.e. Trade Marketing, Customer Service, or Territory Management / Merchandising.


The Role in more detail:


_Sales and Key Account Support_

  • Supports the sales and leadership teams with administration tasks.
  • Responsible for the preparation of daily weekly and adhoc sales reporting
  • Prepare accurate account level trade spend forecasts.
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly promotional accruals.
  • Coordinate store level coop invoices, process, and approve customer invoices.
  • Develops key relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supports team in building effective relationships with customers.
  • Works closely with customer replenishment teams to ensure sufficient customer stock levels.
  • Ensures forecasts are updated based on promotional uplifts and baseline changes.
  • Contributes to the development of customer plans to deliver sales, share and distribution targets.
  • Assists the Key Account team to achieve and execute sales/financial targets for all key accounts.

_General Administration Support_

  • Performs a wide range of duties to help support to help run the New Zealand office.
  • Meet and greets visitors, answers, and directs phone calls.
  • Maintains office supplies and consumables.
  • Organises catering for meetings and events.
  • Manages the general housekeeping/ maintenance services for the office.

About You:


  • 2+ Years' FMCG experience environments
  • Understands FMCG processes and business practices.
  • Commercial awareness. Ability to learn and use learned information.
  • A confident and effective communicator, utilising relationship building skills.
  • Proactive work habits. Takes accountability of tasks and their completion
  • Confident use of the MS Suite, with intermediate Excel Skills
  • Strong systems use, with exposure to Nielsen, a bonus.
  • Values accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong financial literacy
  • Enthusiasm and Positivity. Happily, supports and adds value to the team.
  • Ideally, has a Tertiary qualification.
  • Flexibility to travel. (Mainly just the odd overnight)
