About The Role:

We currently have an opportunity for a Specification & BIM Lead based in our Auckland region.

You will be responsible for generating and completing Opening Schedules while providing coaching and mentoring to our scheduling team, sales teams and customers with technical knowledge and support to grow the overall business engagement.


You will provide guidance on expanding the knowledge and understanding of the value of our business with both external customers and internal sales, specification, and support teams.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead through influence the ASSA ABLOY Specification Writing team through collaborative leadership principals, coaching and mentoring.
  • Providing mentoring, coaching and feedback to members of the Architectural and Specification teams.
  • Provide Support to Consultants, BDMs and Specification teams utilising Relationship, Hardware, and system knowledge.
  • Work in conjunction with the ASSA ABLOY Specification and DAS Sales Director and their respective consulting teams to maximize defined team goals for specification production and related product solution metrics.
  • Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction-Manager-At-Risk, and similar type Contractors and Construction Managers actively using BIM software tools and content for the management of project materials and installation.
  • Owners and End Users requiring BIM content from their project design and construction processes to be used in facility and product life cycle management.
  • Architectural Design and Engineering Firms actively engaged in using BIM software in their design and specification process.
  • Providing forecasting information for production and procurement to maximise I.F.O.T. levels.

About you:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated understanding of the door and hardware industry. Demonstrated understanding of the Architectural industry and understanding of building regulations and requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and attentive active listener. Must possess comprehensive product knowledge to schedule and implement client requirements and transform those requirements into adequate solutions. Demonstrated problemsolving skills and the ability to think creatively to identify opportunities for improvement.
