Our Checkout Department are currently recruiting to fill a supervisor's position.

In this role you will need to be able to build a good relationship with customers and team, and be able to focus and think clearly under pressure.


To be successful in this role:

  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable.
  • Actively sets, monitors and maintains consistently high standards of customer service.
  • Achieve the minimum scan rates as required.
  • Upholds our store vision, mission and values as well as customer promises.
  • Follow Health and Safety Policy, Food Safety Policy and compliance procedures in the store.
  • Adhere to the Sales of Liquor and follow store guidelines

This role will included but is not limited too**:

  • Serving customers and packing trolleys.
  • Dealing with customer complaints and issues.
  • Building rapport with our customers and team.
  • Following all cleaning procedures and undertaking additional housekeeping as required.
  • Handling all monies correctly ensuring the till balances on a daily basis.
  • Assisting in other areas of the store as required.
  • Approving Restricted Item Sales (Alcohol & Tobacco)
  • Being the leader of the team when the manager or 2IC are not there
You must be able to obtain a duty managers certificate if successful for this role. (This will be paid for by the company)

Experience in the supermarket industry, especially checkout would be preferred, or a similar background with transferable skills.


Days and Hours:


Available to work from 2:00pm onwards for Evening Shifts, and days will be discussed with the applicant upon interview stage, but it will require to work either Saturday or Sunday night.


  • Successful applicants will be drug tested.
  • Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
