We have a fantastic opportunity for a Production Manager
to join Auckland Drum Sustainability Services, a subsidiary of the multinational PACT Group PTY.

Pact Group is a leading provider of speciality packaging solutions in Australasia, servicing both consumer and industrial sectors.

Pact specialises in the manufacturing and supply of rigid plastic and metal packaging, materials handling solutions, contract manufacturing services and sustainability services.


About the Role:


The main focus of this role is to work as part of the operational team, providing leadership and support to the team to ensure the efficient running of production, ensuring the process has the capability to meet all facets of the customer's requirements in a manner that does not compromise the health and safety of the team members.

You will take full responsibility for output quality, volume and timeliness from all machines during the shift to having ownership for all applicable inventory.


Your main areas of accountability are:
*- Work centre up time maximisation

  • Process Improvement
  • Team Coaching and training
  • Health & safety and environmental performance
  • Inventory control
  • Meeting production requirements
  • Meeting key operating metrics e.g. DIFOT, Quality
  • Provide support for the production team leaders
  • Maintaining a healthy, happy work environment always
  • Leading by example to ensure a safe working environment is maintained always
This role is based at out Avondale site Monday to Friday 7am - 4:30pm


About You:
To be successful in this role you will need the following essential skills & experience:

Team Leadership skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Intermediate level Microsoft office suite skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Health, safety and quality focus
  • Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills
  • Personnel management experience
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Strong decision making and problemsolving skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Takes initiative and adapts to change quickly
  • Able to work as a constructive team member
  • Ability to work in a highpressure environment

Desirable:

  • Current First Aid certificate
  • SAP or ERP experience
