Description
Nau mai, haere mai to Te Whatu Ora - Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley District. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the role working at Tane Mahuta, Regional Rehabilitation Services, Central Regional Forensic & Rehabilitation Psychiatric Inpatient Units, Te Korowai-Whariki.
The RN practices within a multi-disciplinary team and fosters a person-centred approach, inclusive of whanau participation, that supports individually identified goals within the rehabilitation framework.
The RN is part of a Team Nursing approach that commits to enhanced communication, increased patient satisfaction and patient care; research and utilisation of current best practice principles; supporting change implementation and ongoing enhancement for service quality improvement and patient safety.
The RN will work collaboratively within a team, support Mental Health Support Workers (MHSW) under their direction and delegation, and assist MHSWs to undertake care activities.
You will bring your active listening skills and solution-focused approach to fostering tangata whai ora to achieve their identified goals within their pathway journey.
You will have the ability to take on new learning where required to support your role within the team as well as have good communication skills with your team members, tangata whai ora and their whanau.
