We are looking for a baking & pastry extraordinaire to join our team.

The candidate must possess the following skills :
checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
ordering and stock taking all ingrediants.
Managing stock rotation and mitigating food waste.
baking to recipe to ensure consistency of product.
kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods.
preparing pastry fillings.
monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times & safe food practices.
coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.
glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing.
operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits.
emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment as per the maintenance requirements.

The candidate must have the equivalent of either NZQF Level 4 or at least three years work experience in relevant bakery positions.

You will need to be passionate about baking and a desire to learn and help create and maintain our food offering.

The position is fulltime, five days, 6.00am -2.00pm.

A minimum of 40 hours a week, with a salary range of $27 - $32 an hour depending on experience.
