  • This is a fulltime 12month fixed term role

About the role


We are searching for a confident, motivated customer services star to bring their skills and enthusiasm to a great team delivering customer services in our Thames office.

The role sits within the team providing front-of-house, digital and phone communications, and is part of the wider Customer Services team across the district.


How you fit


The Customer Service Representative role is the link between Council, customers, contractors of Council and their customers in alignment with the core values of Customer services team.

The role is responsible for front line queries and tasks including:

  • Call Centre phone line
  • Cashiering
  • AA Counter services (Thames only)
  • Administrative task
  • Cemetery administration
  • Requests for service
  • Regulatory and consent information
  • General enquiries
  • Rates enquiries
  • Bookings
  • Elections and Governance/Mayor/CE/Community Boards
  • IM / IT / LIMS
  • Infrastructure including Rubbish & Recycling, Water/Waste Water/Storm Water

About you


This role is varied and busy so you will be someone who thrives when under pressure, a communication star who has excellent written and verbal skills and impressive customer service.


You will find prioritising easy and all this with a smile on your face and a personality that lets you develop strong working relationships and still have a laugh or two.


  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid MS Office skills and the ability to pick up new systems
