The Role of a Nurse Practitioner

Oceania Group is seeking experienced and dedicated nurse practitioners to join our clinical leadership team.

We are looking for individuals who can deliver high-quality primary care and nursing services within an aged care context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary care services to residents
• Oversee treatment and care planning for residents with complex health problems, including assessment, diagnosis, prescribing medications and therapeutic interventions
• Create and maintain links with DHB specialist services
• Provide professional supervision and mentoring to RNs to ensure informed care based on international evidence
• Lead clinical quality improvement programs and practices, including monitoring, auditing, and reviewing case records

Requirements:

Candidates must be registered with the Nursing Council in the Nurse Practitioner Scope of Practice and hold a valid practising certificate.

Duties will include regular travel between assigned facilities in the region.
