Fulton Hogan has recently been awarded the Road Corridors Maintenance contract with the Mornington Peninsula Shire starting 1 July 2024.

This means we will be responsible for maintaining 1,700 km of road network, drains and paths within the road corridor which includes:

  • Reactive routine maintenance and rapid response including pothole repairs, roadside furniture reinstatement, footpath repairs and drain cleaning
  • Preventative pavement maintenance programs such as asphalt resurfacing and rehabilitation, and unsealed road and road shoulder grading
  • Amenity improvement programs including grass mowing, weed spraying, and street and footpath sweeping
As a result, Fulton Hogan is looking for multiple Network Inspectors based in Hastings.


The Network Inspectors will be responsible for undertaking both periodic and adhoc inspections across the Mornington Peninsula Shire network, identifying areas of maintenance or work that is required, and reporting this back to the office for scheduling.

In addition to this, you will also be required to assist with any immediate pieces of work where possible such as ensuring the network is safe for commuters and the general public.

If you have experience working in road infrastructure maintenance roles out in the field, we want to hear from you

How you'll connect to the role?

  • Hold a current Drivers Licence and Safe Driving record
  • Hold a Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Hold a Basic Worksite Traffic Management Ticket (desirable)
  • Ability to competently use a mobile device to navigate and enter written information into a mobile app
  • Possess a strong commitment to safety
  • Have a strong eye for details
  • Be a motivated selfstarter
  • Be available to work overtime as required
  • Be available for callout work when required (day, night and on weekends)
  • Previous experience in the Infrastructure Industry a benefit
