Job Description:


Due to Fulton Hogan's ongoing growth within the Region, we are looking for a Pavement Engineer or Pavement technician with maintenance experience and skill to join our team in Whangarei and deliver the good work Fulton Hogan is known for.


About the role:
Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pavement routine activity across the network
  • Co-ordinate pavement routine crews to ensure network response times are met
  • Responsible for producing accurate maintenance programmes in RAMM
  • Ensure pavement routine activities are integrated with renewals by using the MISs and MIGs
  • Work closely with the Asset Management and Network Controls teams to ensure work is well planned and coordinated
  • Resource management and allocation to deliver work programmes, targeting 75% monthly achievement
  • Assists in the preparation of the contract claims and variation pricing processes for maintenance activities
  • Responsible for the pricing and submission of works required under the measure and value aspects of the contract
  • Subcontractors and Supply Management
  • Ensure that health and safety, and quality system procedures are communicated to and complied with by all staff and subcontractors
  • Responsible for specific supply partners to ensure timely and compliant delivery of all works
  • Compliance with quality system procedures contained in the Quality Management Plan (QMP)
  • Compliance with all system procedures contained in the Health and Safety Management Plan (HSMP)
  • Compliance with all environmental legislation, regulations and Government Policy requirements relevant to the Contract

About you:

  • Experience within pavement design or a civil construction space;
  • Class 2 drivers licence minimum;
  • RAMM software experience would be an advantage
  • Traffic management knowledge would be an advantage
  • Passionate about Health and Safety and working safely;
  • Effective and clear communication skills, both verbal and written; and working in a small collaborative team
  • Understand reasons and repairs for pavement failure modes and determining treatment options.
  • Good time management
  • Excellent problem solving abilities & attention to detail.
