I am writing to express my interest in a support worker or caregiver position within your team. I am currently studying Health and Wellbeing (Level 4 – Social and Community Services) at NZMA Manukau Campus and will complete my course in July 2025. As an international student from the Philippines with a strong foundation in healthcare, I bring practical experience, compassion, and cultural responsiveness to every role I take on. In my current private caregiving role, I support a Fijian-Indian client with Distal Muscular Dystrophy. My responsibilities include personal care, emotional support, and operating mobility devices such as a standing hoist and power chair. I ensure that every aspect of care respects his dignity, cultural background, and preferences— key principles in holistic and person-centered support. I also hold a valid First Aid Certificate and have volunteered in aged care and orphanage settings, giving me a broad understanding of diverse client needs.
