Authenticity is the key to effective leadership. Be true to yourself, lead with integrity, and stay genuine in your interactions. Your authenticity will inspire others and create a culture of trust and transparency. Create an environment of trust and collaboration.
Im there now, Im sitting in spaces that require integrity, authenticity, collaboration, trust and confidence. Im in my senior leader era, with an expectation to walk the talk.
As a public servant my focus is “people first” i don’t matter, just my ability to challenge systems, create uncomfortable discussions to ensure people aren’t second thought anymore.
Since i was 19 years of age, starting in admin roles and quite currently an acting Executive Director role, is a representation of the steps i have needed to take to be trusted both internally and externally.
I will always protect our most vulnerable New Zealanders and ensure outcomes and resources are made available without barriers or restrictions. Growing up in the Public Service has given me the insights of tangible, successful outcomes!!
Time to implement and deliver, no more wasting time, money and resources.
That is my professional approach.
