Selina Gavaza

My name is Selina Gavaza, and I’m a compassionate and reliable Care Worker with hands-on experience providing personal care and emotional support to clients. I hold a Diploma in Caregiving and a First Aid Certificate, and I’ve worked with both elderly and disabled individuals—assisting with daily routines like bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and companionship. My background as a trained teacher  and Counsellor also help me communicate well and remain patient under pressure. I’m passionate about supporting others with dignity, respect, and kindness.

While working as a nurse aide , I have supported elderly clients with a range of health conditions, including:

. Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease – assisting with memory care, routine management, and emotional support.  
. Arthritis and Mobility Issues: helping with movement, exercises, and use of mobility aids.  
. Diabetes: monitoring diet, reminding clients to take medication or insulin, and observing for signs of low or high blood sugar.  
. promoting healthy routines and ensuring regular monitoring of vital signs.  
. supporting rehabilitation exercises and assisting with personal care and speech improvement.  
. providing respectful and discreet toileting and hygiene care.
