    Inspiring Communities have two newly created roles to provide strategic leadership to steer us through our exciting next phase.

    Are you excited by the possibilities of communities being at the centre of creating and implementing solutions to improve their own outcomes and hauora? Do you have strong relationships and networks with community-led and/or community organisations across the motu? We are looking for an experienced and collaborative manager to lead our team of passionate people working towards our mission – to build a platform for successful community-led development (CLD) in Aotearoa across community and public service system.

    You will have a working knowledge of the current CLD landscape in Aotearoa, the ability to connect with community groups as well as advocate for CLD at a system level and be highly experienced in building organisational capability in Te Tiriti.

    You will have demonstrated alignment with the values and kaupapa of Inspiring Communities.

    You will be enthusiastic about the power of community-led change and the difference it can make and be a credible leader from the view of practitioners, communities, local and central agencies, funders and other NGOs.

    This role can be completed from home, with flexible hours from anywhere in NZ.

    About Inspiring Communities
    Inspiring Communities is a small team of contractors who work virtually throughout Aotearoa.

    We have a Trust Board, a core team of 5 roles (IC Director, Powerdigm Director, Operations Manager, Communications Manager and Administrations and Comms Support) as well as other contractors brought on to work alongside communities in supporting community-led development.

    Are you excited by the possibilities of active citizenship, community innovation and locally-led change?Do you have a depth of understanding of the mechanisms of Government and the intersection between public sector and community? We are looking for an experienced and collaborative manager to lead our team of highly skilled associate consultants in providing services that bridge the gap between system and community approaches to progress change.

    The Powerdigm Director position is newly created to provide strategic leadership to steer us through our exciting next phase.

    You will have proven experience with consultancy, contracting and other income generation activities, including bidding for Government RFPs and a depth of understanding and experience of influencing change at a systems level.

    You will also need to have a demonstrated alignment with the values and kaupapa of Inspiring Communities and you will be seen as a credible leader by associates and affiliates, senior public sector officials, funders and other organisations.

    This role can be completed from home but based in Wellington, with flexible hours. The Director role will be undertaken consistently for 16 hours per week at the agreed rate. The Director can also act as a contracting Associate, earning both a fixed and variable income.

    The Director, Associates and Affiliates will all agree to work towards a co-created vision and mission and under a values-based code of conduct.

    All are expected to bring work into the business.

    The Director (alongside the Associates) would be required to invest 12 days per year pro-bono in business development, collaboration and project delivery, and contribute 17% of contracted rates to overhead.
