About the role:

You will be joining our Organisational Effectiveness team and wider People team who are friendly, supportive and forward thinking. This is your chance to help shape what learning and development looks like in a progressive council.


You will be providing high quality training and support, as well as updating and maintaining our current learning management system.


Specific activities you will find yourself doing include:

  • Liaising with Managers to identify learning and development opportunities.
  • Designing effective learning programmes with clear outcomes and measurable goals.
  • Developing, sourcing, and implementing learning strategies that links to our kaimahi and organisation goals.
  • Measuring and reporting on the impact of development activities and learning.
  • Opportunity to gain experience in Organisational Development

About you:


You will bring your willingness to get stuck in, learn and try new things, that will support our kaimahi in their learning and development needs.


You will also have:

  • The ability to create and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong instructional design and content writing skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and a continuous mindset of improving your and others knowledge.
