    As one of New Zealand's largest consumers of day time business internet, we support over 900,000 ākonga daily, facilitating safe online teaching and learning.

    About the Role


    Reporting to the Senior IT Systems Engineer and engaging with various teams across the business, you will play a pivotal role as the SME on critical systems (FreeRadius authentication clusters, NGINX load balancing clusters).

    Your role will be crucial in supporting and maintaining critical IT infrastructure and services for Schools and Kura.

    To be successful in this role you will need:
    5+ years experience working with IT Systems and infrastructure. Working experience in an ISP environment would be beneficial.

    Hands-on working experience in FreeRadius authentication and NGINX load balancing platforms in large-scale environments.

    Specialising in cluster deployments, administration, and continuous maintenance and troubleshooting.

    Proficiency in Linux, Docker, Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

    Working knowledge and experience with automation and scripting technologies, such as Ansible and Python.

    Strong communication and technical writing skills
