About the role


Reporting to the Head of Strategy & Policy, the Policy Team Leader will lead and manage the Policy team, all advice and actions undertaken support the delivery of Selwyn District Council's strategic objectives, while providing technical support to colleagues by peer reviewing documents and undertakes technical work when needed.


The role is responsible for developing and reviewing the District Plan, processing plan changes, and developing policy initiatives to manage the districts growth.


Additionally, the role will be responsible for leading the Council response and transition through the reform of the resource management system.

About you


To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 7 years' experience within a resource management environment.

You will have hands on leadership experience and elevating team's capability will come naturally to you.
