    About Us:


    The New Zealand Jewish Community Security Group Charitable Trust (CSG) is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of Jewish communities across New Zealand.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as the Auckland Regional Security Officer (RSO) and Security Lead.


    Key Responsibilities:

    As the Auckland RSO, you will:
    Provide expert security advice and support to community groups and entities across the Auckland Region.
    Recruit, manage, and train a pool of volunteer and professional security guards.
    Manage protective operations for routine security and major events at sites and public locations.
    Define and deploy standard security policies and procedures for Jewish sites.
    Liaise with law enforcement and emergency services agencies.
    Manage crisis management and response plans.
    Record and report incidents to authorities.
    Partner with community groups for security enhancements.

    As the Security Lead, you will:
    Operate as a member of the site's operational management team.
    Oversee dedicated professional security personnel.
    Maintain security risk assessments and control plans.
    Ensure robust security Standard Operating Procedures are in place.
    Train key personnel and users of the site.
    Organize security arrangements for events.
    Manage security platforms.
    Play a key role in crisis management responses.
    Provide operational reports to Boards.

    Pre-requisites and Qualifications:

    Mandatory Skills:
    Fluent in English, written and oral.
    Professional training in security/protection.
    Training & experience in asset protection.
    Close quarter protection skills & experience.
    Security & emergency incident management.
    Inspction of fire safety appliances and fire safety systems.
    Emergency trauma and medical patient management.
    Workplace safety management & maintenance.
    Five years of relevant security experience.
    High level of physical capability and fitness.
    Organized and proactive communicator.
    Ability to work in a community environment.
    Adept at operating under pressure.

    Desired (but not mandatory):
    Up-to-date registration with Ministry of Justice PSPLA.
    Affinity with the Jewish COmmunity

    Additional Information:
    While core hours are Mon-Fri, flexibility in days and hours may be required.
