    Description
    Assistant Manager

    We are a busy restaurant located in Christchurch, open 7 days per week.
    We now require 1 full-time permanent assistant manager to join our team.

    We offer at least 30 hours per week, work from Monday to Sunday, and our pay range is from $29.66/hour to $32/hours depending on your learning abilities.

    You will need to be able to work independently and effectively.

    Role and responsibilities:
    Supervise efficient working of FOH and BOH teams and assign shifts, administer pre-meal meeting and rectify all service of staff
    Oversee kitchen staff's compliance with all health code and sanitation requirements
    Perform regular inspection of food and beverage preparation and presentation to maintain high-quality food standards
    Work with staff to project future needs for kitchen supplies, goods, and cleaning products.
    Maintain inventory of all needed supplies to enhance sales
    Manage workload and ensure effective working of restaurant activities and maintain excellent standards to meet operational expectations
    Hire and train new employees as well as the continuous training of existing staff
    Maintain personal records, schedules, and reports for all employees
    Assist employee teams to provide excellent customer service
    Respond to customer complaints quickly and resolve them effectively
    Coordinate with team to meet sales target, ensure customer satisfaction and follow company procedures to increase productivity
    Resolve staff grievances together with director.
    Coordinate with the director for everyday operation and maintain financial and administrative records

    One year relevant local work experience or a Level 3 Qualification in Business Management is required for this role.
    Priority will be given to local NZ residence/citizens.
