    The Role

    The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the Claims Department delivers the required performance by providing leadership, development and coaching of the team, implementing process improvements and embedding a collaborative culture and effective frameworks to achieve service levels and improvements against set targets whilst mitigating losses.


    Responsibilities:
    Lead and supervise a team of claims processors, fosteringmela collaborative and high-performance culture.
    Oversee the end-to-end claims processing workflow, ensuring accuracy, adherence to guidelines, and timely resolution.
    Analyse and resolve complex claims issues, providing guidance to team members as needed.
    Monitor team performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    Collaborate with other departments to improve processes, streamline operations, and enhance customer experience.
    Act as a point of escalation for escalated claims and customer concerns, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.
    Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

    Skills and experience:
    Proven track record of leadership and people management, ideally in a claims or insurance-related environment.
    Strong understanding of claims processing procedures, insurance regulations, and industry best practices.
    Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
    Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement process improvements.
